WOOD BUILDING CLUSTER OF LOWER SILESIA

The basic aims of  SIDE CLUSTER are stimulated by the changes going on the world, in which knowledge and technical development play the general role for both competitiveness and economic progress. We would like the cluster to enable its members to develop into modern, knowledge-based companies that can run their activity all over the world.


The main aims of the cluster are to:

  • create cooperation network between local companies, business organizations, local authorities, R&D institutions, foreign partners, other clusters,
  • enhance cooperation on the local market without competitiveness restrictions,
  • provide the flow of information inside cluster, introduce new technologies and solutions,
  • promote pro-innovation actions including business activity.


The program of our cluster involves:

  • rational use of wood for constructional purposes,
  • promoting wood as building material,
  • houses energy consumption decrease,
  • supporting domestic and international cooperation,

 

Our members are:

  • companies acting in the wood and constructional sector,
  • forestry companies,
  • designers,
  • and others connected with this branch of industry who are willing to carry out the tasks with other companies and see their chance for future in implementing innovation systems.

The Leader of our cluster is The Lower Silesian Chamber of Crafts in Wrocław.
